INSTALLING THE AMIDA VIEWER

1. Extract the downoaded file, Viewer-linux.tar.gz

2. After extracting, you wil find 3 files:
* j2re-1_4_2_03-linux-i586.bin
* Viewer.sh
* Viewer.jar

3. If you do not have a Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version 1.4.2 already installed on your system, then start j2re-1_4_2_03-linux-i586.bin.
Edit the path to the "java" executable in Viewer.sh if required.
   
4. Copy Viewer.sh and Viewer.jar into some directory in your system.
If you have copied Viewer.jar in a different directory than Viewer.sh, you wil have to edit Viwer.sh and type the correct path to Viewer.jar.

5. Set Viewer.sh to open files with  ".ppr" (application/x-paper) and ".sign" (application/x-signature) extensions.
